I Am Sending You

Something to think about.

I Am Sending You

21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” John 20:21

Purpose,  it is something we yearn for until we find it. When we find it, we wonder why it was so hard to find? “I am sending you” spoken by the resurrected Christ. It brings with it an authority unequal in humanities experience. These four words resound throughout history. These four words changed the history of man. They define the purpose for which we live. It is what we are to do. The risen Christ is sending not only His original disciples, but He is sending us as well.

The authority with which He sends us is not just the power of Jesus it comes from the Father through Him to us. He is not just sending us He is empowering us with the authority of God the Father. It is not just a command it is a responsibility. It is the purpose, the underlying cornerstone of motivation for our lives. It is what will push us forward to bring meaning to our lives.

Our lives were meant to be more than acquisition, personal accomplishments or the rise a to power. They are meant for so much more. Our lives were made to share in the glory of God the creator of the universe and to live a life of complete victory. We were always intended to be children of the one and only true King. Less anyone be confused if you are living the life God has in store for you. There is nowhere you can be where the glory of God will not be. Whatever God touches is glorified, because he is glorious.

“I am sending you” let those words embed themselves in your heart, mind, and soul. Accept the purpose and meaning for your life. Receive the Glory that is inseparable from the command. Do what our Lord has commanded with the gifts He has given you and live the life He has promised you. If you go, the Glory of God will be with you.

One Body

Something to think about.

One Body

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12

What this verse is saying is that it takes all of us to make up the body of Christ. Are we the body of Christ? Are we working in unity to contribute to the growth and function of the body of Christ? Or are we still behaving as independent agents? When the world looks at us, do they see the face of Christ or the ambitions of man? Do they see the love, leadership, passion, forgiveness, and the salvation of Christ? When the world looks at us, they need to see Christ, not anything else. Only as a unified body will we be able to show the wondrous glory of God. Only when we come together and use the gifts He has entrusted to us will we be able to represent Him as the body of Christ.

Endless Possibilities

Endless Possibilities

12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. 13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. 1 Corinthians 2 12-13

There is a space, a divide between us who believe in Christ and those who don’t. We who do, can hear and understand what God has said and is saying. those that don’t, though hearing can not comprehend what the Lord has said and is saying.  The bridge that reaches across that divide is the Spirit of God He is the one that opens our minds to understand the call, will, purpose, glory, love, and sovereignty of God.  Without the Spirit of God, the world is left lost abandon and confused because it can never understand the way the world works. They’re missing the most vital part, the Spirit of God which makes the world make sense. Without it we are, but a mass of humanity headed for our inevitable self-destruction. The Spirit of God opens our minds to the reality of a future with a God of boundless, endless beautiful possibilities.

Glory To God

Glory To God

Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11

If what I have written or said has inspired, motivated or otherwise benefited you. I want you to know it is God in me that has allowed me to do anything that may be of profit to you. The wisdom I have shared comes from God who provides wisdom to all who ask. It is through God that I and able to do what I do and it is He who deserves the Glory. Simply stated I want to give God the glory for all He has done in my life.

For This Very Purpose

For This Very Purpose

“For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.””
Romans 9:17 NKJV

You may think I will have nothing to do with God, you may even believe God does not exist. The truth is you have no say in the matter. God is not affected by your erroneous beliefs. God is going to use you to carry out His purposes with your permission or not. In every situation exist the opportunity to glorify God. In the end, he will be Glorified, and you will be an instrument He uses to bring Him glory. This prophecy will be fulfilled, 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11 (KJV)

From Glory to Glory

From Glory to Glory

18  But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)

This is the definition of the Christian life. Our lives should not be one of meaningless, rote dreariness. We should be moving from one manifest glory of God to the next. We should be living lives filled with the excitement of our progressive transformation into the glory of Christ.  Our lives should be full, full of victories, failures, joys and sorrows. Because glory to glory means that you will be transformed into the image of Christ and in that process, you will indeed live not just exist. Knowing that there will come that day when you will be “transformed into the same image.” Glory to God!!!!!!

This Day

This Day

This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24

This day is not another day to complete the unfinished task of yesterday.  This day is not the day to plan for the wonderful dreams of your heart.  This is not the day to rejoice in the victories of your life. This is the day you get a new opportunity to experience the never-ending always fulfilling love of God. This is the day you get to know the wondrous, glory, mercy and presence of God. The reason to rejoice this day is because the Lord is God, He is alive and interested in you.

From Every Tribe

From Every Tribe

9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”Revelation 7:9-10

The day is coming when all the world past and present, from every village and city, people will come forth to recognize the salvation of the Lord. The world in its vast diversity will proclaim the glory God.

Partakers

Something to think about.
Partakers

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

These two verses are about what God has done for you, enabling you and I to be free from reaping the rewards of sin.  He grants us life, allowed us to know Him, then calls us to His glory and excellence.  If you look at it, it is stated in the past tense, this has already been done for you. “Called,” past tense, “granted,” past tense, “having escaped from” past tense, what he is stating in these two verses has already been done for you. Then it is left to us to “partake,” we must take action to receive what has already been given us. We must take action to receive “His precious and very great promises,” “divine nature” and be free from the sinful corruption of this world.

Self Destruction

Something to think about.

Self Destruction

“Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.”
Jeremiah 17:5 ESV

We as a nation have become this man, we have replaced “in God we trust”  with our own rights of self-determination. We have said in our hearts I am the master of my domain. We have turned our hearts away from God and substituted Him with an image of ourselves. We glory in out strength and intellect; we have gloried in our accomplishments. We have placed ourselves before God, and we are cursed.
